About Limestone Register.

A political intelligence and public-record data company focused on Florida. We organize power into records.

Florida's campaign-finance system generates one of the largest public records of political money in the country. It is also one of the most fragmented: candidate accounts, committee accounts, federal filings, amendments, and transfers live in separate systems with separate formats and separate names for the same people.

Limestone Register exists to make that record usable. We hold every line filed on every state account and every federal race in Florida, resolve the people and firms within it, join them to the voter file, the parcel roll, and the corporate registry, and refresh the result every week.

Neutrality

The Register does not advocate. We serve consultants, lobbyists, attorneys, journalists, and researchers on every side of Florida politics on the same terms, and we do not disclose who uses the service. Our only position is that the public record should be legible.

The name

Florida's oldest public buildings were cut from limestone, a material that records the sediment of everything that settled before it. A register is the ledger in which an institution keeps its official entries. Together they describe what we do: a permanent, ordered record of political money in the state.
